Who's Involved?

DIG64 Promoters and Contributors represent leading OEMs, BIOS, operating systems, application software and independent hardware vendors. Promoters are the companies that author and approve DIG64 specifications. Contributors participate in the generation and review of pre-release drafts, incorporating their respective expertise in the process. Representatives from Promoters and Contributors together form the DIG64 Working Group, a consortium of industry leaders devoted to advancing interoperability and technology migration of 64-bit Intel Architecture-based servers. DIG64 Adopters are developers of products on the ItaniumŪ Processor Family architecture committed to follow the DIG64 guidelines in their development efforts.

Promoters

These are the companies that lead the industry consortium that creates the DIG64 specification. They are committed to accelerating the availability of system solutions for the ItaniumŪ Processor Family architecture by addressing the compatibility of hardware- and system-level software and related development efforts. The Promoters share in the common goals of reducing time to market for ItaniumŪ Architecture-based solutions, eliminating the need for redundant porting to several software vendors' products, and minimizing IT qualification efforts. The Promoters also design and deliver DIG64-compliant systems products with each new generation of the ItaniumŪ Processor Family.
